Your spa cover will be shipped in a box approximately 4′ x 8′. The weight will vary depending on the size and foam thickness selected.

Due to its size, your spa cover is considered oversized and cannot be shipped via standard carriers such as UPS or FedEx. All covers are shipped through an independent freight company. Deliveries are made Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Once your cover arrives at the local terminal, the freight company will contact you to schedule delivery. Delivery windows are typically 3–4 hours but are not guaranteed. Please direct any delivery-related questions to the carrier.

If the freight company is unable to reach you, they will leave a message. Please respond promptly, as storage fees may apply.

If a delivery appointment is missed, additional re-delivery fees may be charged.

An adult (18+) must be present to receive and inspect the shipment.

If you authorize the carrier to leave the spa cover without a signature, you accept full responsibility for the condition of the delivery. Any damage claims must be filed directly with the freight company.

Inspect the shipment before signing. Check the box for visible damage. If damage is present, open and inspect the cover.

If the spa cover is damaged, do not sign the delivery receipt. Refuse the shipment and note the damage on the Bill of Lading.

If the driver will not allow time for inspection, write “Possible hidden damage to spa cover” on the delivery receipt before signing.

If a damaged cover is accepted without notation, the purchaser is responsible for filing a claim directly with the freight company. Spa Covers Etc. and Ideal Spa Covers are not responsible for unreported damage.

If you refuse a damaged shipment, please contact us immediately. We will begin the process of replacing your cover and handle the freight claim on your behalf.

Local Delivery (Orange County & Select L.A. County Areas):
Local deliveries are made using our company truck. Delivery includes placement at the front of the home or backyard if arranged in advance.

An adult (18+) is recommended to be present at delivery. Delivery does not include installation, such as attaching tie-downs or securing the cover to a lifter.
