The following terms and conditions must be agreed to prior to your order being processed. Please read them carefully.
Responsibilities of the Purchaser regarding the following: order processing, cancellations, refunds/ returns, shipping and (local) delivery and warranty.
During the processing period, we are unable to accept any changes to the order itself. (The shipping address and contact number for the Purchaser are always accepted but may result in a fee accessed by the freight company. This will be charged at the time of delivery by the freight company).
Spa covers (a.k.a. Hot Tub covers) are made to the dimensions provided but due to the nature of the materials used, we reserve the right to allow the spa cover to be no more than +/ – 1.0 inch than the specified size.
Spa Covers Etc. accepts phone orders and has a highly qualified customer service to help guide you through the ordering process. At the time of the order a confirmation email will be sent to the Purchaser’s email. The Purchaser must verify the order and reply to the confirmation email. Orders are PENDING until Spa Covers Etc. receives a reply from the Purchaser via email. It is the responsibility of the Purchaser to verify that all information on the order form is correct including the ship to address and cell phone number.

We encourage our customers to visit our e-commerce site www.spacoversetc.com to easily place orders for most spa covers (up to 96 inches) and other items. This will help to avoid potential issues such as wrong measurements, hinge direction, etc. NOTE* for spas over 96 inches or spas with special requirements such as raised speakers, handrails, raised air controls, etc., we recommend ordering by phone to ensure the accuracy of the order.
By submitting your order online, the Purchaser agrees to these terms and conditions.
If you do NOT receive an order confirmation within 24 hours, please call Spa Covers Etc. at 949) 496-2883 a new confirmation will be issued. After 24 hours, orders completed online are considered complete and correct and therefore we do NOT accept responsibility for cover details such as measurements, hinge direction, color, foam type, ship to address, etc.
The Purchaser may cancel the order within 24 hours of submitting the order without penalty. Orders cancelled after 24 hours are subject to a $50.00 cancellation fee.
Template Fee / Local Spa Measure Fee:
Custom shaped spas and hot tubs may require a template in order to make a cover. If Spa Covers Etc. made the template and the order is cancelled, the fee for making the template will not be refunded. If the order is cancelled and the Purchaser requests the template, it will be mailed to the address of the Purchaser COD. If Spa Covers Etc. came to your home to measure the spa / hot tub and the order is cancelled, the fee for measuring the spa will NOT be refunded.
Your spa cover will be shipped in a box approximately 4ft. x 8ft. the weight of the cover depends on the size and foam type. Because the shipment is considered “oversized” it is too large to be sent by typical carriers (i.e. UPS, FedEx, etc.). All spa covers are shipped via an independent freight company. All deliveries will be made Monday through Friday excluding holidays.
The freight company will contact the Purchaser when the spa cover has arrived at the local transfer hub in your city/ state. They will contact the Purchaser and schedule a time frame for delivery. Usually a 3-4 hour window (times are not actual and are not guaranteed). All questions regarding the delivery should be directed to the carrier.
If the freight company attempts to contact the Purchaser but is not able to make live contact, they will leave a message to contact the freight company ASAP (additional fees may be charged for storage).
If you schedule an appointment for delivery and are not present to accept the item(s) when the driver arrives, there will be an additional fee for re-delivery.
An adult over the age of 18 years MUST be present during the delivery to inspect the shipment for damage.
If the Purchaser leaves a note for the driver of the freight truck or makes arraignments with the freight company to leave the spa cover without anyone present to sign / accept the item(s), you are authorizing them to leave the spa cover in your possession regardless of damage. With that, you are accepting FULL RESPONSIBILITY for the item(s) and you will have to file a claim directly with the freight company if there is any damage.
All spa covers must be inspected prior to signing the delivery receipt. Look first at the box for obvious damage. If the box has visible damage, open the box and inspect the spa cover. If the spa cover is damaged DO NOT SIGN the delivery receipt! If the box appears damaged but the delivery driver will NOT wait for you to inspect the delivery, write: POSSIBLE HIDDEN DAMAGE TO SPA COVER on the Bill of Lading or refuse delivery.
IF THE SPA COVER IS DAMAGED, THE SHIPMENT MUST BE REFUSED. IF THE PURCHASER (OR ADULT ACCEPTING THE SHIPMNET ON THEIR BEHALF) SIGNS FOR A DAMAGED SPA COVER AND THE DAMAGES ARE NOT NOTATED ON THE DELIVERY RECEIPT, THE PUCHASER WILL BE REPONSIBLE FOR FILING THE CLAIM DIRECTLY WITH THE FREIGHT COMPANY. Spa Covers Etc. and / or Ideal Spa Covers will not be responsible.
If the spa cover is damaged and the Purchaser refuses the delivery (please note this on the Bill of Lading), contact our office ASAP. Spa Covers Etc. will have a new spa cover built and shipped ASAP and file the freight claim directly with the freight company on your behalf.
Local deliveries (Orange County, Ca. only):
Deliveries in Orange County and some cities in L.A. County are done via our truck. Spa Covers Etc. will deliver all items to the front porch (or back yard if agreed upon prior to delivery). We strongly recommend that an adult over the age of 18 years be present to accept the item(s). Delivery does NOT include or imply any type of installation such as securing the locking tie-downs or attaching the spa cover to the spa cover lifter, etc.
All spa covers / hot tub covers are custom made according to the specifications requested by the Purchaser and therefore are NON RETURNABLE. Spa cover lifters and other items may be returned within 30 days at the Purchaser’s expense. All items must be in their original packaging with all included hardware. A request for a RMA number (return merchandise authorization) is required and must be in writing via email. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org Any item returned without a RMA number will NOT be credited. A refund will be issued after all contents are verified.
Note** this does NOT apply to spa covers refused due to damage.
Spa covers are covered under the Ideal Spa Cover warranty. All warranty claims must be submitted in writing to email@example.com along with a description of the problem and pictures clearly showing the issue. Please include the Quality Assurance Number that was included with the warranty. Spa Covers Etc. will forward the claim to Ideal Spa Covers for review. If the claim is found to be under warranty, a RMA number (return merchandise authorization) will be issued by Ideal Spa Covers and the item will be repaired or replaced at the discretion of Ideal Spa Covers. If it is determined that spa cover or part of the spa cover needs to be returned for inspection prior to the approval of the warranty it is the responsibility of the Purchaser to pay all shipping costs required. Additionally the Purchaser must pay all shipping costs for the new / repaired items to be sent from the manufacturer back to the Purchaser.
